Anna Aresi is a translator and teacher based in Providence, RI (USA). After graduating from the University of Padova (Italy), she moved to the US where she earned a Ph.D. in Italian Studies from Brown University with a dissertation on the reception of Dante in European modernist poetry. She currently teaches Italian language and literature and yoga, and translates from and into Italian, English, and Russian. She collaborates with Asymptote, an online journal of literature in translation, and directs the “Poetry in Translation” section of Mosaici: Learned Online Journal of Italian Poetry.
