Annalisa Carlevaro was born in Genoa in 1981. She has a diploma in Translation and Interpretation from the University of Genoa and works as an interpreter from English and a teacher of Italian as a foreign language. In 2013 she graduated in Polish language and literature at the University of Genoa and, in 2017, obtained a Masters in Italian Language, Literature and Civilization at Università della Svizzera italiana in Lugano. Winner of various scholarships at the Universities of Genoa, Hamburg, Wroclaw, Warsaw and Lugano. Founder and director of a linguistic and cultural centre where she has hosted poetry seminars on the importance of dialogue between languages. She has collaborated on several translations for the Babel Translation Festival and is currently a PhD student at Università della Svizzera italiana.
